Passed away Sunday evening, September 5, 2021 at the Rose Arbor Hospice Residence. Thelma was born December 15, 1921 in Flowerfield, MI the daughter of Marion and Maude (Patterson) McNees. On December 26, 1942 she was united in marriage to her loving husband Frank Rain, who preceded her in death on August 11, 1998. She was also preceded in death by a son, Frank K. Rain; grand-daughter, Michelle Mueller; son-in-law, Michael D. Klepper; 10 brothers and sisters, Stanley (Virginia) McNees, Deward (Blanche) McNees, Lowell (Thelma) McNees, Howard McNees, Milford (Lorraine) McNees, Ora (Al) Hill, Betty (Bob) Slater, Geraldine (Dale) Davidson, Mary Hill, and Junior (Irene) McNees. Thelma is survived by her daughter, Roxanne Klepper; grandchildren, Michael G. Klepper, Eric (Katie) Klepper, Scott K. (Lissette) Rain, Nicole (Eric) Hott; great-grandchildren, Austin and Kailee Rain, Corey, Hayden and Logan Hott; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Rose Arbor Hospice Residence for their loving care of Thelma. Friends may meet the family from 12:00-2:00pm on Monday, September 13 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, 3926 South 9th Street, Kalamazoo, MI 49009 for a time of gathering and light lunch. A private graveside will be held following the gathering at Genessee Prairie Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Rose Arbor Hospice Residence.
