Ronald Merle Orosz, was born on July 7, 1937, in Kalamazoo, Michigan. On January 21, 2021, he passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones. Ronald was the son of Gus and Margaret Orosz, who have preceded him in death. Ronald attended Kalamazoo Central High School, where he met his beautiful wife, Janice Forslund in the milk line during lunch. After high school, he deployed to Frankfort Germany to serve in the Army Security Agency. Ron flew home on a three week leave and on June 28, 1958, married his high school sweetheart, Janice. Soon after the wedding, they moved to Germany where Ron continued to serve in the Army Security Agency. On March 13, 1959, the two celebrated the birth of their first child Rick Orosz. Later that year, their family of 3 moved back to Michigan where they bought their home in Portage. Ron started a job in law enforcement with the Kalamazoo Sherriff Department and was quickly promoted to detective. On November 27, 1962 they had their second child, Tim Orosz.

In 1967. Ron started at GM in Kalamazoo, as a Security Guard, where he rose in the ranks to become Chief of Security and then went on to be Chief of Security over all of the GM Western Michigan Plants. Ron took early retirement from GM at 55 and went to work at the KVCC Police Academy, a job he dearly loved and eventually became the director. After serving 6 years at the Police Academy Ron went to work at Kellogg as their Chief of Security. Upon leaving Kellogg, Ron entered the private sector of security, working in executive protection from which he permanently retired in 2007. Ron was an avid hunter and fisherman who passed on his love of nature and the outdoors to his two sons. Besides spending time with Jan and family, Ron enjoyed, traveling in the motor home with their children all over the United States.

Ron is survived by sons: Rick (Bonnie) Orosz and Tim (Debbie) Orosz; grandchildren: Cassidy (Les) Horne, Cortney Orosz and Kyle Vaughn, Heather Williams and Kevin (Amanda) Orosz; as well as 8 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and sister in law Ruth Ann (Corky) Lueck

Private Visitation and Funeral Services will be held for Ron with Pastor Scott Misar from Radiant Church officiating. Ron will be laid to rest with military honors at Mt. Ever Rest Memorial Park.
