Ronald Duane Baker

Ronald Duane Baker, 85, passed away May 8, 2023. He was born December 28, 1937 in Kalamazoo to the late Mortie True and Marjorie Nadine (Minnis) Baker.

Ronald served in the United States Navy from 1955-1958 before his transfer to the Reserves from 1958-1963. He worked as a toolmaker for General Motors and retired from there. He was also a longtime member at Spring Valley Wesleyan Church. Ronald loved to hunt and fish and worked tirelessly to provide for his family.

On November 22, 1961, Ronald married Audrey Gala (Bradford)(Talley), who preceded him in death August 6, 1998. He was also preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Gerald E. Baker and Robert Baker.

He is survived by his son, Kevin (Kim) Baker of Vicksburg; daughter, Kathy Andrews of Scotts; stepson, Larry (Gail) Talley of Kalamazoo; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held Friday, May 12, 2023 at 2:00pm at Langeland Family Funeral Homes Burial & Cremation Services, 622 S Burdick St, Kalamazoo, MI 49007, where family will greet friends one hour prior to the service from 1-2:00pm. Interment will immediately follow in Riverside Cemetery.
