Richard Anthony Salvaggio

Richard Anthony Salvaggio, age 55 of Portage, died in a car accident on his way to work on February 8, 2021. Rich was born January 17, 1966, in Kalamazoo, the son of Anthony and Lois (Frazier) Salvaggio. He was a graduate of Portage Northern High School. Rich completed his Journeyman Mold Maker and was a mold maker and machinist for Eimo Technology. Antique cars and tractors were a passion for Rich, and he was the Past President of both the Kalamazoo Valley Antique Tractor Club and the Kalamazoo Valley Antique Automobile Club. He was a member of the Vintage Bike Club and Cushman Club of America. Rich was mechanically inclined and enjoyed working on motors and tractors. He was known by many for the cider mill he brought to car shows and the popcorn machine he used at events to give away treats. He had enjoyed his time volunteering at the Gilmore Car Museum. Rich adored his boxers, Barney and Clyde.

His family includes his parents, Tony and Lois Salvaggio; his sister, Kim Salvaggio-Johnson; his brother, Jason Salvaggio; his niece and nephew, Geneva Johnson and Jeremy Johnson; his girlfriend, Lisa Vendeville; his special cousins, Shawn (Lena) Austin and Troy Austin; and extended family including aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.
