Richard D. Hodapp

Richard was born June 18, 1932, to the late Frank W. and Amber (Bair) Hodapp. He attended Kalamazoo Central High School, and graduated in the class of 1950. Richard married Elaine Shirley Kitchen, his high school sweetheart, and she survives him. He worked in the trades as an insulator, and was a member of Heat and Frost Insulators Local 47, of which he joined December 3, 1951. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.

In his youth, Richard rode a unicycle and enjoyed fishing. He is survived by his wife, Elaine; daughter, Susan; and son, Thomas. There will be no services. Private interment will be at Grand Prairie Cemetery in Kalamazoo. Those desiring may make memorial contributions in his memory to Friends of the Kal-Haven Trail.
