Paul "Tony" Plyley, Jr., age 90 of Kalamazoo, died on April 29, 2021, at Bronson Hospital. He was born May 12, 1930, in Kalamazoo, the son of Paul, Sr. and Hazel (Sayles) Plyley. Tony was a 1948 graduate of Kalamazoo Central High School. Cpl. Tony Plyley served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He retired as a gas service repairman from Consumers Energy after 35 years of service.
On October 28, 1950, Tony married Mary Harding, and they shared 70 wonderful years. They enjoyed traveling together, his favorites being two adventures to England. He loved taking his family camping all across the U.S. Tony also enjoyed woodworking, fishing and photography.
His family included his wife, Mary Plyley; his children: Linda Kreamalmeyer, Tony (Janet Bauer) Plyley, and Tom (Genni) Plyley; his grandchildren: Betsy Thompson, Devon Plyley, and Dana Plyley; and 3 great-grandchildren.
Tony's family will receive guests from 4 to 7 PM on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at Langeland Family Funeral Homes Burial & Cremation Services, 3926 S. 9th St, Kalamazoo, MI 49009. There are COVID restrictions in place: a 25 person maximum indoors at a time, masks and social distancing required.
