Patricia Ann Riegel

Passed away Tuesday September 13, 2022 in Grand Rapids. Pat was born February 1, 1949 in Vicksburg, MI, the daughter of Robert and Gertrude (Capps) Burr.   She graduated from Portage Northern High School in 1967, and went on to work as both a dental assistant and an orthodontic assistant.  She was a lifelong member of Kalamazoo First Assembly of God, and recently attended Gun Lake Community Church after moving to Gun Lake. Pat had many hobbies, including boating & water skiing, as well as snowmobiling and snow skiing.  She also loved golf, bowling, and racquetball.  Later in life she enjoyed dinners with friends and family, road trips in the car, and boat rides (preferably fast ones!).  Pat was a devoted wife, a great mother, a proud grandma, and a loyal friend.   Nothing in life was more important to her than her family and her friends.  Her big smile and her laughter will be missed by all.

On March 22, 1969 Pat was united in marriage to her loving husband, David Riegel who survives. Also surviving is her son, Mason (Julie) Riegel; grandchildren, Macie Riegel, Kenzie Riegel, Caden (Allison) Riegel; and great-grandson, Waylon. Pat was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, James Burr. Friends may meet the family from 10:00-11:00am on Wednesday, October 5 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, 3926 South 9th Street, Kalamazoo, MI 49009 where a memorial service will be held at 11:00am. A light reception will be held after the service in the Langeland Family Center. Private interment will be held in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Gun Lake Community Church.
