Norma Jean Johnson, age 89, passed away January 17, 2020 in Kalamazoo, MI. Norma was born June 18, 1930 in Kalamazoo, MI, the daughter of Howard and Marion (Clark) Hoogacker. She was a lifelong area resident and longtime member of the Cross Community Church. Norma was employed with K-Mart for several years, but caring for her family was the most important part of her life.

On September 10, 1949, she was united in marriage to William C. Johnson, who preceded her in death on March 30, 2002. She was also preceded by a son Gerald Johnson; a grandson Timothy Johnson and her parents.

Surviving are her children: Charles (Janet) Johnson, Patricia (Michael) Sparks; 10 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters Naomi Selner, Nancy Slocum and Nadine Johnson.

The family will receive friends from 10-11AM on Thursday, January 23 at the Cross Community Church of the Nazarene (5625 Oakland Dr.), where the funeral service will begin at 11:00AM Thursday. Burial will be in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery.
