Mary Louise (Schwenzer) Franke

FRANKE, MARY L.
of Kalamazoo, MI

Mary Louise Franke, age 91, went home to be with her Lord on March 28, 2020. Mary was born May 9, 1928, in Red Bank, NJ, the daughter of the late Frank and JoAnn (Sarafin) Schwenzer. On November 19, 1949, she was united in marriage to Theodore "Ted" Franke, who preceded her in death on June 4, 2001. For many years she assisted Ted in operating their family business Ted Franke, Inc. Used Car Dealership.

Mary was a longtime member of Second Christian Reformed Church. She enjoyed spending summers at their Gun Lake home for many years and was very active in the ministries at Gun Lake Chapel. Surviving are her sister and brother-in-law: Ruth and Dick Lyons; and several nieces and nephews.

Due to COVID-19 concerns, there will be no public services and private family services will be held at a later date. Mary has been laid to rest with her husband in Ft. Custer National Cemetery. Memorials in Mary's memory may be directed to Park Village Pines, or Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan.
