Mark Alan Folkringa, 65 passed away, Sunday, January 10, 2021. Born, March 2, 1955 to Arthur Folkringa and Donna (Folkringa, née Lenning) Pearson in Grand Rapids Michigan.
Mark is survived by daughter Jessica Folkringa, sister Sue Folkringa, stepson Christopher Wheeler, former wives, Irene Duron and Jodie Folkringa, bonus mom Donna "Gussie" Farris, bonus sister Kim Logie-Bates, and many cousins.
Mark was smart and creative and used those talents in his work and music. He attended Ottawa Hills High School and Grand Valley State University where he was a proud graduate of their Electrical Engineering program. He loved creating Christian music on his guitar and published his works on YouTube. He enjoyed running, proclaiming his Dutch heritage, and studying and sharing his faith. His cousin Sally said it best: "Now Mark will be playing his beautiful music with the angels". Amen!
Cremation has taken place and there will be a gathering to celebrate Mark at a later date. In honor of Mark please consider making a donation to the programs of Mel Trotter Ministries.
