Marilyn Janet (Fluke) Mazur

Marilyn Janet Mazur passed away Friday, January 8, 2021 in Kalamazoo. She was born June 2, 1930 in Battle Creek, MI a daughter of Frank and Leone (Wood) Fluke. Marilyn was raised and lived in Galesburg her whole life. She enjoyed her beautiful garden, feeding the birds and being with her dogs (and grand dogs). Marilyn loved her family unconditionally and was always there for them. Marilyn was united in marriage to Thaddeus "Ted" Mazur on January 25, 1947 - they were married for 57 years before his death on May 10, 2004. Marilyn and Ted enjoyed antique shopping and visiting Las Vegas for many years. She was also preceded in death by her parents and her sisters, Doris Wolf and Margaret Wheat. Marilyn was especially close to her sister Margaret who she called "Tootie". She is survived by her three children, Kenneth (Carla) Mazur of Union City, MI, Ronald H. (Deborah) Mazur of Elkhart, IN, and Christine (Larry) Harper of Lake Doster. Marilyn has many grandchildren and great-grandchildren that she loved and cared for and several nieces and nephews. Private services will be held at Centerpoint Church and private burial will be held in North Climax (Roof) Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to a humane society of one's choice.
