Marilyn Faye (Harris) Hayden

Marilyn Faye Hayden, age 79 of Kalamazoo, died on May 4, 2022. She was born on November 6, 1942, in McKinney, Texas, the daughter of William and Mary (Wright) Harris. The family moved to Michigan and Marilyn graduated from Portage Central High School in 1961. She worked as a beautician for several years. She was married to Douglas Hayden on October 7, 1972. Marilyn was happiest when she was caring for her family. She was the past Vice President of the Bowling Association for Women, was an avid golfer, and was in the Cribbage Club. Her family includes her husband, Doug Hayden; her daughter, Kathy (Robert) Lentner; her grandchildren: Roberta Lentner (Anthony Servello), James Lentner (Skyler Hasling), and Danny Lentner; her great-grandchildren: Isabella, Alexander, Rilynn, and she was looking forward to meeting a new great-grandson in October; her sister-in-law, Sue Harris; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother W.E. Bill "Peewee" Harris, and her sister Nelda (Roger) VerHage. Friends may visit with her family on Thursday, May 19, 2022, from 6:00- 8:00 PM at Langeland Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 411 East Centre Avenue, Portage, where her services will be held on Friday, May 20, 2022, at 1:00 PM.
