Margaret L. (Wamsley) Santini

Margaret L. Santini, age 83 of Portage, formerly of Lansing, died at her home on May 3, 2023. She was born on October 23, 1939, in Cincinnati, Ohio, the daughter of Lester and Vera (Gertz) Wamsley. The family moved to the St. Ignace area when Margaret was a child. In her early 20s, she moved to the Lansing area where she met Robert Santini.

They were married on September 7, 1963. She enjoyed time with her husband and son and later her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her family includes her son Lou (Tami) Santini; her grandchildren: Analisha Santini, Emily (Daniel) Ferris, Josie (Phillip) Moorlag, Annie Marshall, and Kylie Brown; her great-grandchildren: Grant, Blake, Bella, and Summer; her sister Midge (Wayne) Trepanier, and her nieces & nephews, many of whom she thought of as “brothers & sisters to her son, Louis.”

There will be no visitation. 

A private graveside service will be held at Ft. Custer National Cemetery on May 25th, and a celebration of life service will be held at the beautiful Bellflower in Kalamazoo, Michigan on May 26th.
