Passed away peacefully at home with his family Friday afternoon February 14, 2020. Larry was born January 10, 1948 in Wynne, Arkansas a son of John and Flossie (Luker) Davis. During the Vietnam War, he served with the U.S. Air Force.

Larry had been a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident and owned and operated Davis Heating and Cooling for over 40 years, retiring in 2013. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Melva Jarrett. On December 18, 1976, he was united in marriage to Marlene M. (Stevens) Davis who survives. Also surviving, 3 children, Angela Clark, Larry Davis, Jr., and Trevor Smith; 5 grandchildren, Keygan and Faith Clark, and Seth, Jada, and Mila Davis; 5 brothers, 3 sisters, and nieces and nephews that all reside in Wynne, Arkansas with one niece residing in Kalamazoo.

A visitation for Larry will be held on Wednesday, February 19, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 20 at 10:30 a.m at Langeland Family Funeral Homes Burial & Cremation Services, 622 S Burdick St, Kalamazoo, MI 49007. Interment will be in Fort Custer National Cemetery with full military honors, immediately following his funeral.
