Joyce Fay Davis passed away peacefully Tuesday afternoon, May 3, 2022 with her four children by her side. Joyce was born August 27, 1927 on the family farm in Mattawan, MI the daughter of Charles and Bessie (King) Welch.

On June 12, 1946 she was united in marriage to Donald Davis, her high school sweetheart. He was the love of her life and her very best friend. Don was in the Navy, so they enjoyed their first years together in California. Don and Joyce moved back to the Kalamazoo area, living on Crooked Lake, where they raised their four children and eventually welcomed their children's spouses and families: Connie (Jim) Barker, Bonnie (Dave) Sanders, Donna (Jeff) Upchurch, Donald (Jackie) Davis; 9 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Don preceded Joyce in death on July 10, 1986. Joyce was also preceded in death by her 10 brothers and sisters.

She later married William Fisk (on May 10, 1997) who expanded Joyce's family to include: Dan (Kay) Fisk, Donna (Ray) Van Idekking, Brett Fisk and 7 grandchildren. Bill preceded Joyce in death.

While her children were young, Joyce was a stay-at-home mom. She served as a den mother in the Boy Scouts and chaperoned school functions. Joyce was an active member of her church community and supported multiple annual fundraising events. She was passionate about the community of women that she was a part of with Martha's Guild. Later in life she worked at Mattawan Consolidated Schools. In retirement she enjoyed traveling with her friends and actively doted over her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
