Joseph V. Doepker

Joseph V. Doepker, age 80 passed away peacefully on Tuesday January 21st, after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's and bladder cancer. Joe was born in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan to the late Corneilius "Neil" F. Doepker and Katherine E. (Roberts) Doepker. Joe was a graduate of Arthur Hill High School in Saginaw, MI. On November 7, 1959 he married his love Katherine E. Briguglio. They were married for 60 years and together had five children, nine grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Joe worked hard his entire life providing for his large family. His hard work blessed them with fond memories and countless hours of swimming, fishing, golfing, playing catch and shooting baskets with their favorite coach- "Dad." Joe rarely missed a game of any of his children and valued his family time. He will be greatly missed. Surviving Joe is his beloved wife of 60 years, Katherine E. Doepker (Briguglio); two daughters Kim Deitrich (Stan) and Karen Kreis (Doug); three sons Mark Doepker (Melissa), Scott and Keith Doepker; nine grandchildren; Heather Schiffeneder (Matt), Rachael Deitrich, Jake Deitrich (Carrie), Marissa Doepker, Miranda Doepker, Mikayla Doepker (Jake), Kayleigh Doepker, Drew Doepker, Sydney Kreis; three great grandchildren; Haile, Lily and Olivia; one sister JoAnne Schafer and one brother Robert Depker. He was preceded in death by his brothers Jim, Tom and Bill Doepker and his sister Maureen Quillet.
