John James LaRose

John James LaRose, age 78, passed peacefully in his home on January 15th, 2022. He was born in Kalamazoo, MI to James and Virginia LaRose on January 30th, 1944. John spent his childhood living on Gull Lake and was a lifelong area resident of Kalamazoo. John had a passion for boats, motorcycles, and tractors that he passed on to his family throughout his life and actively enjoyed after retirement from General Motors. John was preceded in death by his loving wife Jane, his granddaughter Hunter LaRose, his parents, and a son, Jeffrey A. LaRose. He is survived by his siblings: Sandra Sikkema and Phillip LaRose, children: Mary Osborn, Michael LaRose, and Scott LaRose; several nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. A celebration of life will take place at the VFW Post 5855 located at 8845 S. Sprinkle Rd. Portage, MI 49002 on Saturday, January 29th, 2022 at 2:00 pm.
