Jeffrey Yancer, Sr., 58, passed away on Friday February 7, 2020. He was born November 24, 1961 in Battle Creek, MI to the late Edward and Marvel (Davis) Yancer.

Jeff was united in marriage to the former Beth Ann Engelman on December 22, 2018. Jeff served in the U.S. Army from 1980 until honorably discharged in 1986. Jeff was an avid reader throughout his life, enjoyed kayaking with his wife, and spending time with his family. He thrived as a grandfather, doting on his grandchildren as much as possible, and instilling his values of good humor and quality time. Jeff's relationship with God provided him strength and comfort during his life and he took solace in sharing counsel with his sister Debra.

Jeff is survived by his wife, Beth Yancer; children, Jeffrey (Amy Simmons) Yancer, Jr., Kathleen (Adam Shook) Yancer, Alexis (Jeff) Geromin and Rachel (Matt) Alexander; grandchildren, Aiden, Owen, Olive, Gideon, Avery and Jefferson; siblings, Skip, Cynthia, Timothy, Debra, Andy and twins Susan and Suzanne; and a plethora of nieces and nephews.

At the family's request, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life luncheon will take place on Wednesday, February 12th, from 12:00 - 4:00pm at the Scotts Community Center, 8450 36th St. S, Scotts, MI 49088. A private interment will take place at a later date at Gilson Cemetery. Services are entrusted to Langeland Family Funeral Homes Burial & Cremation Services, 622 S. Burdick St., Kalamazoo.
