Janet Grace (Baker) Campbell

July 7, 1935 — September 8, 2021

Portage

Went home to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday, September 8, 2021. Janet was born on July 7, 1935, to the late William and Velma Baker in Erie, Pennsylvania. On November 14, 1959, Jan married her best friend, Ron, with whom she spent over 61 loving years. She was an amazing wife and mother to her family. Although Jan spent most of her working years as a homemaker, she was also a great primary school teacher for some years. She had many talents and interests including painting, music, cooking, sewing, and gardening, to name a few. In her middle and later years her principal focus was serving in her church AWANA program and as a speaker trainer and area representative for Stonecroft Ministries of Kansas City. Anything to which she put her mind would always be amazing. Jan held exceptional faith and trust in God.

Surviving Jan is her husband, Ron, Children: daughter, Robin, of Indianapolis, Indiana, son, Bruce, of Holland, Michigan, and daughter, Lesley, and her husband, Bree Herron, of Indianapolis, Indiana; Grandchildren: Allen, Elisa, Jillian, Weston, Malise, and Eden; Brother, Donald Baker of Jacksonville, Florida and brother-in-law, Scott Campbell of Bonita Springs, Florida. Also, two recent great grandsons, Jack and Benjamin Roche of Allendale, Michigan.

Jan will be honored in life at a private family memorial service at Berean Baptist Church in Portage, Michigan at a near future date.
