Evelyn J (Spoelstra) Izenbaard

Went to be with the Lord Wednesday January 5, 2022, surrounded by family. Evelyn was born to the late, Peter and Ella Spoelstra (Andriesen) on May 23, 1925, in Grundy Center, Iowa. Early in life, Evelyn graduated high school and on July 5, 1946 she married the love of her life, Don, who she spent many loving years with until Don passed away in 2005. In her free time, Evelyn loved to spend time with her family, who she loved more than anything.

Surviving Evelyn are her children, Roger (Wanda) Izenbaard, Charlene Triemstra, Brenda (Daniel) Balkema; many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Preceding her in passing are her parents, Peter and Ella; husband Donald Izenbaard; son in law, Charles Triemstra.

Visitation will be held in Evelyn's honor on Saturday, January 15, 2022, at Langeland Family Funeral Homes Burial and Cremation Services, 3926 South 9th Street, Kalamazoo, Michigan 49009, starting at 10am with a funeral service to follow at 11am. Following the services, the family invites any guests to a luncheon immediately following the funeral. In lieu of flowers, please direct any memorial contributions to Park Village Pines.
