Eugene Riggins, 95 of Kalamazoo, passed away on April 30, 2022. Eugene was born on May 10, 1926, to Darrel and Edith Riggins in Mishawaka, Indiana. Eugene served in the Navy. He retired from Johnson Howard Lumber Company and then worked for four years at Oak Creations until they closed their doors. Eugene married Lucille Mae Fairbairn on June 19, 1948, and they had five children. Eugene is preceded in death by his three sons, Darrel Lee, Pete, and Phillip, his son-in-law, Robert Prescott, Sr., and by his wife Lucille. He is survived by his daughters: Jean Prescott and Kimberly Mansfield, son-in-law, Phil Mansfield, and daughters in law: Lillian (Pete) Riggins and Janet (Phillip) Riggins, many grandchildren and many, many great-grandchildren. Friends may visit with his family on Thursday, May 5, 2022, from 10:00 AM- 12:00 PM, at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Burial & Cremation Services, 3926 S. 9th Street, Kalamazoo, MI 49009.
