Elsie Ann (Orgonik) Wolner

Elsie Wolner, 85 of Kalamazoo, passed away on Tuesday, February 16, 2021. Born to Martin (Mary) Orgonik, August 12, 1935 in New York, New York. United in marriage to the late Milton L. Wolner on November 3, 1957.

Elsie is survived by son John (Alane) Wolner, daughter Maryann (Dan) Hubbell, son Joseph (Shannon) Wolner and grandchildren: Evelyn, Devyn, Jacob, Quinn, Kristina, Kyle and Annika. Also survived by brother John (Joyce) Orgonik and many nieces, nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband of 54 years Milton L. Wolner.

Elsie was the ultimate mom, seamstress, incredible baker known for her delicious pies. She was a caregiver, not only to her family but her extended family. A strong quiet woman, 20 year cancer survivor she was the silent sidekick to her outgoing husband Milton. Elsie was a woman of great faith, an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Paw Paw and also a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Kalamazoo. She was a talented artist who gave away her beautiful acrylic and watercolor paintings to friends and family. She was the grandkids "Superfan" and could always be seen at their various recitals and events. Elsie earned the name "Cut throat Mama" while playing her favorite card game Euchre, she was a serious card player, playing to win. Elsie was a strong steady presence and will be deeply missed.

Cremation has taken place, a memorial service with burial at Fort Custer National Cemetery is planned for a later date. The Wolner family would like to thank Sue's Loving Care for their excellent care of Elsie.
