Eleanor Adrianna (Westveer) Durock

Eleanor W. Durock, age 96 of Kalamazoo, died March 1, 2020, at Rose Arbor Hospice. She was born October 13, 1923, in Kalamazoo the daughter of Adrian and Dorothea (Moessen) Westveer. Eleanor was a 1941 graduate of Kalamazoo Central High School. For many years she was a secretary at a law firm in Kalamazoo, and then for over 30 years she was an Executive Secretary at Upjohn Company. Eleanor was a lifelong member of Zion Lutheran Church. On May 26, 1962, she married Mike Durock, who survives her. Her family also includes her sister Marilyn Noel and several nieces and nephews, and two brothers who preceded her in death, Robert and John Westveer. Her Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, March 5, 2020, at Zion Lutheran Church, 2122 Bronson Boulevard, Kalamazoo, with Pastor Larry Brelje officiating. Her family will greet friends for an hour prior to the service. A private entombment will follow at Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park, South. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Zion Lutheran Church or Rose Arbor Hospice or a Charity of Choice.
