Effie Hill, 84, passed away on Saturday, May 4, 2019. She was born June 21, 1934 in Kalamazoo to the late Cornelius and Wilhelmina (DeYoung) Triezenberg. Effie was a loving daughter, mother, and grandmother. She lived her life for her family with many sacrifices. She loved her pets. Effie had a long career in the insurance field mainly with O'Boyle. Effie is survived by her children, Mary Beth (Steve) Gardner, Patience "Pati" Ruggio and Brenda Councell; 10 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jeanine Roberts; son, Michael Hill; and son-in-law, Craig Councell. The family will greet friends on Wednesday, May 8th from 6-8 pm at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St., where a funeral service will take place Thursday, May 9th, 1:00pm. Interment will follow at West Cooper Cemetery. Memorial donations may be directed to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan.
