Edward Peyton Wilbur, 90, of Kalamazoo, Michigan went to be with the Lord on January 6, 2019. He was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan on May 10, 1929, the son of Edward Charles and Frances (Krueger) Wilbur. He was preceded in death by a son, Edward James and a daughter, Lisa Ann. Edward was married to Shirley (Black) Wilbur who survives. Also surviving are his two sons, Robert (Denise) Wilbur of Ada, Michigan and William (Greta) Wilbur of Kalamazoo; five grandchildren, Savannah, Mckinzie, Elisabeth, Jessica (Scott) Holbrook, Victoria and one great-grandchild, Jack Holbrook. Edward was a graduate of Kalamazoo Central High School and attended Western Michigan University. He was a veteran who served in the United States Marines. He was employed by the Upjohn Company until his retirement. Ed was an avid golfer who enjoyed his Florida home during the winter months. He was a faithful member of Third Christian Reformed Church of Kalamazoo. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 10, 2020 at Third Christian Reformed Church of Kalamazoo, 2400 Winchell Ave. with Rev. Zeyl officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be at the church one hour prior to the service. Memorials may be directed to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan or Park Village Pines.
