Edsel Louis Thayer

Passed away at home Tuesday, November 9, 2021, surrounded by his family. Ed was born on July 22, 1957, to the late Edsel Thayer Sr. and Janet Webb in Port Huron, Michigan. Ed made a living working at Parker Hannifin for 38 years and really enjoyed his time there. Ed spent 24 loving years with his significant other, Margie. They did much traveling around the world and warmer destinations were always his favorite. He was also apart of the Parker golf league and loved every minute of it winning many awards. Edsel loved sports in general, but his favorite team was the Michigan State Spartans and all Detroit teams.

Surviving Ed is his significant other, Margie Barber; His children, Travis (Gale) Thayer, Cody Thayer, Grandchildren; Blake and Tyler Thayer, and Laurie Thayer; Margie's children, Hans Meulenberg, Chad and Michelle Barber; and his sisters, Ellen Meadows, Mitzi (Mark) Lewis, Kathy Sage and Beverly Thayer; and his special friend, Peanut, his beloved dog. Preceding Ed in passing are his parents.

As per his request, Cremation will take place and Ed will be laid to rest in Portage South Cemetery at a later date.
