Douglas G. Beak
Obituary
Douglas Gordon Beak passed away Wednesday, September 13, 2023, at the age of 81. Born in Janesville, Wisconsin on December 7, 1941, to the late Douglas George and Verle (Mann) Beak. He married Joyce Stoodt in Plymouth, Ohio on July 21, 1963. After serving his country in the United States Navy, Doug went on to a career as a computer technician for IBM. He enjoyed computers and reading, often reading the same books multiple times.
Doug is survived by his loving wife, Joyce Beak; sons, Jeff (Cindy) Beak and Douglas (Stephanie) Beak; 3 grandchildren, Aislinn, Delaney, and Jaidan; 5 siblings, Victoria Boehm, Judith Kautz, Kristine Dean, Kimberly (Kenneth) Mohrbacher, and Steven (Sandi) Beak; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial Services will be held Friday, September 22, 2023, at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church 1747 W. Milham Ave. Portage, MI 49024 beginning at 11:00 am with Pastor Rachel Laughlin officiating. Those desiring may make memorial contributions in memory of Douglas Beak to Prince of Peace Lutheran Church.
