Donald J Klimp

Passed away Friday morning, September 10, 2021. Don was born August 8, 1952 in Kalamazoo, MI the son of John and Margaret (Wienberg) Klimp. Don worked for several years with Allen Edwin Homes and just enjoyed life to the fullest. On September 17, 1976 Don was united in marriage to his loving wife Hertha (Joftscheff), who survives. Also surviving is Donnie Leonard, who Don and Hertha raised and has given them 4 "grandchildren", Marissa, Brandon, Cody, and Joey Leonard; brothers and sisters, Rev. Ronald (Beth) Klimp, John Klimp, Mary (Jim) VanderWal, James Klimp; brother-in-law, Michael Berry; and several nieces and nephews. Don was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Marjorie Berry; and sister-in-law, Jill Klimp. Friends may meet the family from 10:00-11:00am Tuesday, September 14 at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, 3926 South 9th Street, Kalamazoo, MI 49009 where services will follow at 11:00am. A light lunch will follow the service and interment will be in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery on Wednesday. Memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
