Went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 after complications from frontal lobe dementia. Born March 27, 1951 in Kalamazoo to Phillip and Margaret (Carlyle) Boyce. Diane served the senior community her entire career, which started at Kalamazoo Visiting Nurses, and continued at Senior Services, Lutheran Social Services (Samaritas), Callander Commercial, and South County Community Services. Diane enjoyed her years of service volunteering at Kalamazoo Christian Booster Club, Kalamazoo First Presbyterian Church, Kalamazoo Civic Theatre, All Ears Theatre, Kalamazoo Institute of Art, Ladies Library Association, Portage Community Center, Saugatuck RV Resort, and Saugatuck-Douglas Historical Society. She is survived by her faithful daughters: Kristine (Durian) and Jeff Muller, and Susan (Durian) and Kirk Metzger, and five grandchildren: Matthew Durian Muller, Grant Jeffrey Muller, Luke Durian Metzger, Jane Anne Metzger, and Mary Adele Metzger. Her father, Phillip Boyce, brother and sister-in-law, Daniel & Susan Boyce, (Lesley & Matt Lehman and Carrie & Dave Couwenhoven, and Nick & Sarah Boyce). Half-sisters: Karen Kay (Tom) Gucma (Heather Phillips and Samantha Wassink), and Kimberly Adsit. Brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws and nieces and nephews: David and Kathy Durian (Vicky & Al Wirgau, Bob & Karla Durian, Steve & Tammy Durian) and Marc and Barb Russell (Chad & Sheri Russell). She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth J. Durian (August 24, 1950 - March 29, 2008) her mother, Margaret Ann (Carlyle) (Boyce) Adsit, father-and mother-in-law Robert and Jeanette Durian, grandparents William and Carrie Carlyle, Garrison and Lucy Boyce, and special uncle and aunt Thomas and Margie (Carlyle) Pope.A special acknowledgement to Diane's extended Boyce family, Carlyle family, Durian family, Pope family, and many life-long friends from Kalamazoo Christian High School.

A very special thank you to Sue Dornan and the staff of Sue's Loving Care for the outstanding care and love shown to Diane. We are especially grateful for: Carol Cleveland, Dan & Sue Boyce, Lauren Fitzmaurice, Joan Hoekstra, Debbie Kipp, Barb & Marc Russell, Mary Ann Sammon, and Patty Staton. Kathleen Robertson King for your preaching, teaching, and friendship with Diane. Arrangements are entrusted to Langeland Family Funeral Homes Burial & Cremation Services 622 S. Burdick St. Kalamazoo, MI 49007. There will be no visitation or funeral services at this time, a memorial service will take place at a later date.
