Of Kalamazoo, Michigan Deb passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 22, 2008. She was born April 13, 1955, in Decatur, AL, the daughter of Arnold Hopper and Anna Johnson. Deb resided in Kalamazoo for the majority of her life. She dedicated her life to her daughters and grandchildren. She was well known for her generous heart and sense of humor. Surviving are two daughters, April Grider and Emily Eric Dush; three grandchildren, Anna, Jade and Zander; siblings, David Hopper, Danny Hopper and John Tammy Johnson, Jr. She was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, John Johnson, Sr. and a nephew, Rob Hopper. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held 10:00am Saturday, April 26, 2008 at the Oakland Drive Christian Church 7331 Oakland Dr.. Following services the family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall. Memorials in Deb's memory may be directed to an educational fund established for her grandchildren.
