David Lee McCarty

Died Wednesday evening, November 27, 2019. David was born August 21, 1947 in Kalamazoo, Michigan a son of Robert V. and Mildred (Misner) McCarty. He had been a Kalamazoo area resident most of his life and was employed with Parker Hannifin for over 35 years before retiring. David was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, Franklin and Robert E. McCarty; and a sister-in-law, Shirley McCarty. On September 14, 1968, he was united in marriage to Debra K. (Goodman) McCarty who survives. Also surviving, 2 children, Jeffery McCarty of Luther, MI and Raymond (Heather) McCarty of Paw Paw; a sister-in-law, Alice McCarty of Kalamazoo; an aunt, Dorothy Misner of Kalamazoo; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. A memorial gathering will be held 10am to 12pm Saturday, December 7th at Langeland Family Funeral Homes Burial & Cremation Services, 3926 S 9th St, Kalamazoo, MI 49009. Private burial will take place in Mt. Ever Rest Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association or to the Michigan Heart Fund.
