Passed away Tuesday morning, January 4, 2022, in Lansing, MI after succumbing to complications of lung cancer. Darwin was born November 28, 1957, in Indianapolis, IN, the son of Lawrence and Ruth Marilyn (Fogle) Stieglitz. Darwin graduated from Kalamazoo, Loy Norrix and loved swimming, scuba diving, and hang-gliding. Darwin enjoyed his time working for MRC Industries, Inc. and dedicated himself with a high degree of enthusiasm in whatever he did. He loved horticulture and helped maintain the landscaping at MRC Industries. Darwin was a very hard worker and would give you the shirt off his back if you were in need. Darwin loved spending time with family and especially camping with Lary, Chris, and Jon.

Darwin is survived by his brothers, Lary (Cindy Hornbeck) Stieglitz, Christopher (Frances Comstock) Stieglitz, and Jonathan (Debra Savoy) Stieglitz; and nieces Katy (Stieglitz) Donnally, Abigail Stieglitz, and Alizabeth Savoy, Ben and Rebecca (Stieglitz) Jones and nephews, Timothy Stieglitz, Aaron Stieglitz, Joel Stieglitz, and Steven Savoy. Friends may meet the family from 9:30 AM - 10:30 AM Saturday, January 15, 2022 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, 622 S. Burdick, Kalamazoo, MI 49007. Funeral Service will be held at First United Methodist Church of Kalamazoo, 212 S. Park St., at 11 am. Interment will be held at Mount Ever-Rest Cemetery following the service.
