Carol Lynn Srackangast

Carol passed away Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at Rose Arbor Hospice Residence in Kalamazoo. She was born May 10, 1938 in Kalamazoo, MI a daughter of Fredrick and Ruth (Goolsby) Harrison and had been a lifelong area resident. Carol worked for many years as a cashier at local grocery stores. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Donald Merriam; a step-son, Joseph Srackangast; three sisters, Eleanor Serra, Marilyn Davies and Barbara Searles; and a brother, Fred Harrison. On November 6, 1989, Carol married Duane Srackangast in Las Vegas, NV, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Daniel (Diana) Merriam and Jeffery Merriam; step-daughter, Susan Srackangast; stepdaughter-in-law, Alice Srackangast; eight grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, October 12th and services will be held 2 p.m. on Sunday, October 13th at Langeland Family Funeral Homes Burial & Cremation Services, 145 W Battle Creek St, Galesburg, MI 49053.
