Betty I. Cleland, 92, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, September 21, 2020. She was born on August 17,1928 in Kalamazoo, the daughter of Frank and Dorothy (Ballou) Molenaar and had been a lifelong resident of the area. Betty was a member of the former Comstock United Methodist Church for over 50 years. She was an avid reader, enjoyed many years relaxing at the cottage and the time spent with her family.

On September 10,1949 she married Robert J. Cleland and were lovingly together for 57 years. Robert preceded her in death in 2006. Surviving are her daughter Christine (Michael) Davis of Charlotte; her grandchildren Terrence (Ann) Bradshaw of WI, Nicholas (Nicole) Bradshaw of NC and Caitlin (Donald) Tirrell of Eaton Rapids; her great-grandchildren Kathryn and Olivia Bradshaw and Leland Tirrell; and a very special "adopted" daughter Lynnette Dietz of Plainwell; nieces and nephews and friends. She was also preceded in death by her daughter Robin Bradshaw in 2000; her parents; and her two sisters Anna Marie Barnard and Frances Walker.

Cremation has taken place and a private committal service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions can be made to Comstock Township Library or to a charity of your choice.

The family wishes to especially thank Tionna, Dazsha and Jo who took such loving care of mom and also to the exceptional staff at Elara Caring Hospice.
