VANHOUT, Alberta
Kalamazoo Alberta joined her husband, parents and siblings in Heaven on October 6, 2013 at age 88. She was born July 25, 1925 in Kalamazoo to Jans and Anna Meyer Mejeur. She was united in marriage to Peter Bob VanHout on December 30, 1948 who preceded her in death in 1995.Alberta is survived by her children, Kathy Jim Boldenow of Kentwood, Jan Bruce Haak, Jean Tom VanderMeulen and Karen Don DeVries all of Kalamazoo, John VanHout of LosAngeles and Kaylynn Gary Terpstra of Lawton; 16 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren. A private burial will take place at Liberty Cemetery in Alamo Twp. Family will greet friends on Wednesday from 5-8 pm at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St. and Thursday from 4-6 pm at Westwood Christian Reformed Church, 620 Northampton Rd., Kalamazoo. A memorial service will follow visitation at 6:00 pm with grandson Pastor Sam Boldenow officiating. Fellowship will follow the service from 7-8 pm with supper provided. Memorials may be directed to the Kalamazoo Gospel Mission or to Kalamazoo Christian Schools, Tuition Assistance Funds.
