RISHEL, Yvonne
Of Kalamazoo, MI Yvonne passed away January 6, 2010. She was born January 6, 1918, in Kalamazoo, the daughter of Alfred and Hazel Putnam Newcombe. A lifelong resident of Kalamazoo, Yvonne attended Cosmetology School, then for over 30 years operated Yvonne's Beauty Salon in Comstock. On February 27, 1937, she was united in marriage to Roy A. Rishel who preceded her in death on January 6, 1973. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Marilyn Sult in 2003 and by 2 grandchildren, Daniel and Aubrey Rishel. Surviving are her son, Phillip Rishel of Knoxville, TN; son-in-law, Dale Sult; eight grandchildren, Joan Notghi, Suzanne Rishel-McIntyre, Linda Hartman, David Rishel, Tracy Bell, Troy Sult, Sarah Rishel, Stephanie Rishel and eight great-grandchildren. In accordance with Yvonne's wishes there will be no public visitation or services. A private family graveside service was held in Alamo Cemetery. Memorials in Yvonne's memory may be directed to American Diabetes Assn. Arrangements by Langeland Family Funeral Homes.
