Theresa M. (Mathia) Tartalone

Theresa Margaret Tartalone, age 91, passed away on September 24, 2023 at Maple Lake Assisted Living, Paw Paw, MI, with her family at her side.

Theresa was born on May 12, 1932 in Norvelt, PA, to Thomas and Susan (Wano) Mathia, and married Felix Tartalone on May 16, 1953. Theresa was a member of the St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Kalamazoo, MI, and formerly a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Roman Catholic Parish in Lucerne Mines, PA. She lived most of her life in Homer City, PA and moved to Kalamazoo, MI in 2001 to be closer to her family.  She enjoyed gardening, baking, walking with friends and was active in her church.

She is survived by her children: Philip (Janine) Tartalone of Marana, AZ, LuAnn (James) Luedtke of Clayton, GA, Frank (Maotoh) Tartalone of Port Angeles, WA, Leonard (Jennifer) Tartalone of Boerne, TX and Susan (Bill) Fales of Kalamazoo, MI, along with 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Theresa was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and siblings, Florence (August) Wecera and Marian (John) Kromel.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at Our Lady of the Assumption Roman Catholic Parish in Lucerne Mines, PA where she will be laid to rest with her husband.
