Kalamazoo

Terri Sarché Blanco passed away suddenly, Thursday March 30, 2023. Terri was born on November 27, 1957, to Larry Haase and Patricia Shumaker in Columbus, Ohio.

Terri was a bright light in her community with an infectious personality that would lift anyone’s spirits. She had a passion for cooking, the arts, travel, music, animals and natural healing. She showed her love through food and enjoyed sharing recipes and home-cooked meals with family and friends. Her esteem of higher education also led her to foster foreign exchange students over the past decade.

Her life was an example of being a “flamingo in a flock of pigeons.” She was never afraid to just be herself and she had the most colorful and fun personality.

Her love for her family knew no bounds and she was the most loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend anyone could ask for. Terri is survived by her mother; daughter, Bianca Blanco-Jimenez and son-in-law, Harold Jimenez; granddaughter, Mila Jimenez; siblings, Tami and Doug Haase; nieces, Cheyenne Sosman, and Cassidy Haase; and nephew, Alex Haase. She is also survived by her dogs, Guido Fubini, and Cortez. Lastly, she is survived by an entire community of people who considered her part of their family. She didn’t touch people’s lives lightly. She befriended almost everyone she met and truly cared for them all.

She was deeply loved and adored by her family and community, and she will be greatly missed. Cremation will take place and a Celebration of life will be held on Monday, April 10th, 2023 at The Bellflower in Kalamazoo, MI from 3-6pm.
