Susan Elaine Marowski

September 9, 1954 — September 17, 2022

Susan Elaine Marowski passed Saturday, September 17, 2022, peacefully at home surrounded by her family. She was born September 9, 1954, in Youngstown Ohio, daughter of the late Paul and Margaret (Brooks) Lytle. Susan was the first graduating class of 1971, at Harrison High School in Farmington Hills, Michigan. She retired from the restaurant industry after 20 years.

Susan and her family enjoyed road trips, camping and many outdoor activities. The three sisters had fun playing games and attending sports events together. They also went to many Barbershop Quartet shows where they watched their father perform. They all had a great sense of humor together. As Susan got older, she had a love for the Detroit Tigers. So much so that she never missed a televised game. She also enjoyed watching Hallmark movies with her husband Gerry, playing Bingo, and reading a good book. Susan’s family was originally from the Detroit area when she retired and moved to Kalamazoo, Michigan to be closer to her family.

Susan enjoyed spending quality time with her grandkids so much that she moved right next door to them. She also had a very close relationship with her two daughters and if they weren’t together, they were talking on the phone. Her ultimate legacy in life would be how much she loved and cherished her family. She always wanted to be there for them and hoped that they’d take care of each other when she couldn’t. She will be greatly missed and will always be her family's guardian angel.

On May 6, 2005, Susan married Gerald Marowski who survives. Also surviving are her daughters, Carmen (Tom) Gamsho and Alicia (Erik) Wawzysko; grandchildren, Nick, Gabe, Salma, Joey Gamsho, and Larry Wawzysko; sisters, Gloria (Bill) Spencer and Marcia (Jerry) Shelly; and nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place and a private memorial gathering is being planned. Arrangements entrusted to Langeland Family Funeral Homes Burial & Cremation Services, 622 S. Burdick St, Kalamazoo MI 49007. To view Susan's personalized web page, please visit https://www.langelands.com
