LEE, Steven Wendell Kalamazoo Passed away January 31, 2007 at his residence. Steve was born February 15, 1953 in Kalamazoo, MI the son of Wendell Lee and Joan Bos Lee Kreeger. Little Stevie Lee spent his young years terrorizing the Oakwood Neighborhood. After moving to Schoolcraft in 1968, he graduated from Schoolcraft High School in 1971. Steve played Little League Baseball. As an adult he excelled at softball and golf. Many friends will remember Steve's good times and campfires at Covert. Steve enjoyed fishing; ice fishing and pheasant hunting. On July 10, 1982, he married Beth Anne Stevens. He was owner/operator of the Green Top Tavern in downtown Kalamazoo for many years. Steve will be missed by his faithful dog companion ''Bugs''. Steve was preceded in death by his parents; his stepfather M.L. Kreeger; sister-in-law, Margaret Lee; several grandparents and uncles. Surviving are his son, Coty Lee of Kalamazoo; his former wife Beth Anne Lee; a brother, Mike Nancy Lee of Plainwell; and by sisters, Cher Lee and companion Phill Alexander of Kalamazoo and Deb Lee and companion Dorrinton Coke of Jamaica; aunts, Evelyn Lee of Kalamazoo; Audrey Bos of Schoolcraft; Dorothy Doc Brown of AZ and uncle John Barb Kreeger of Ml; step-sisters, Cindy Jim Lunarde of Plainwell; Kay Paul Hibner of IN; and Mary Thrasher and Companion Ken Davidson of Kalamazoo; many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and good friends. Cremation has taken place. A memorial gathering will be held Sunday, February 11 at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 219 W. Cedar St from 2pm to 6pm. Memorial contributions in Steve's memory may be made to the West Michigan Cancer Center.
