Stanley G. Hewes

Stanley G. Hewes was received into the arms of Jesus on Sunday, January 5, 2025. He was the only child of the late George and Marion Hewes. Born in Three Rivers, his parents moved to Kalamazoo in 1957. Stan loved all the programs that he was involved in, as well and the job opportunities he experienced. He was educated at Kennedy school and then joined MRC, where he worked for many years. His most recent program was at SHALOM Woolery. Stan loved every Holiday. He lived from one to the next. He also loved music and was involved in the Special Arts performances and group singing. He loved to be around people and was especially grateful for those who helped him through everyday life: his AFC caregivers, program people, and his long time friend and guardian, Kathy Lesman. A special thank you to Dr. Kaur and Dr. Baker for helping him through his end of life decisions. A private burial has taken place. Funeral arrangements will be at a later date.
