Rosella May (Anderson) Dundore

Rosella “Rose” May Dundore, 94, of Kalamazoo, MI, passed away at 7:31pm on Friday, June 9 at Hawthorne Landing Assisted Living in Kalamazoo, MI.

Rosella was born on August 27, 1928, in South Bend Indiana to the late John Wilson and Elva Alberta (Name) Anderson. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Eddy Dundore; 3 brothers, William, James, and Michael Anderson, 3 sisters Shirley Anderson, Mary Helen Ford, and Nancy Barnes.

On November 22, 1950, Rosella Anderson married Jack Eddy Dundore at Stockbridge Methodist Church in Kalamazoo MI.  They were married 42 years prior to Jack’s passing on February 4, 1992.

Rosella is survived by her daughter Sandra Dundore and son Mark (Agnes) Dundore both of Kalamazoo MI; two grandchildren Tyler (Lexi) Dundore and Mitchell Dundore, 2 Step-grandchildren, Jacob (Brooke) Haring and Paul Haring, 1 great-grandson, Brantley Haring, 1 sister, Patricia Showalter of Haysville, KS; two brothers, Robert Anderson of New Carlisle, IN and John (DeeDee) Anderson of Peachtree City GA; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

During her working career, Rosella was employed by KVP Sutherland, Gilmore Brothers and Little Lambs Daycare. She enjoyed spending time with her family, attending athletic events that her grandsons participated in to cheer them on, reading, working in her flower garden, watching, and feeding her birds.

Visitation will be held at 10:00 am with funeral service following at 11:00 am on Wednesday June 21, 2023, at Langeland Family Funeral Homes Burial & Cremation Services, 2936 S. 9th St, Kalamazoo MI 49009 with Reverend Aaron Jager officiating.  Committal services will follow in Fort Custer National Cemetery.
