Rolene A. (Schram) Leathers

Passed away Monday morning, November 14, 2022. Rolene was born February 6, 1945 in Ayer, Massachusetts the daughter of Roland and Virginia (Cross) Schram. She was employed for several years at Borgess Nursing Home in the food department prior to her retirement. She enjoyed reading, flower gardens, and was instrumental in the opening of the Wilson Recreation Area on the eastside of Kalamazoo after the Wilson School closed. On July 8, 1972 she was united in marriage to her loving husband of 50 years, Dennis Leathers who survives. Also surviving are her step children, Marilee (Bill) Cekola, and Melonie (Brad) Schmitz; 5 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; brothers and sister, Roland Schram, Patricia (Tom) Hunter, David Hunter, and Craig Hunter; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may meet the family from 11:00am-1:00pm at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, 622 S. Burdick, Kalamazoo, MI 49007 where funeral services will follow at 1:00pm. Interment will be in Ft.
