Robert "Lance" L. Whyle, IV

Robert L. “Lance” Whyle, IV, age 61 of Vicksburg, died following an automobile accident on November 12, 2022. He was born on July 20, 1961, in Battle Creek, the son of Robert III and Paula (Dodd) Whyle. Lance attended Harper Creek High School and graduated from Galesburg-Augusta High School in 1979, where he played football. Lance enjoyed his time working at Brook Lodge with his friends, after high school. He was a salesman for DePuy Pharmaceuticals and later had his own industrial painting business. Lance loved a good project, whether it was selling on Ebay, gardening at home, or researching the best health supplements. He spent time on Beadle Lake growing up and enjoyed fishing throughout his life. His children have wonderful memories playing bocce ball and frisbee with their dad. His family includes his children: Robert Whyle, V, Janelle Whyle, and Cole Whyle; his sisters, Carla Harrington and Deborah (Phillip) Waite, several nieces and nephews, and his best friends, Rusty Baker and Jeff Lampas. He was preceded in death by his parents and his best friend Dan Moreland. Friends may gather with the family on Thursday, November 17, 2022, from 2:00-3:00 PM at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Location, 622 S.
