Paul Douglas Bouvrette passed away at Rose Arbor surrounded by his family on May 29, 2023. He was born on June 30, 1948, in Bad Axe, MI to Paul and Bernice (Tschirhart) Bouvrette.
Paul dutifully served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War, earning a Purple Heart for his services.
He earned his Master’s Electrical License at 21 years old and opened up his business In September 1977; he successfully operated Bouvrette Electric for over 45 years.
Paul married the love of his life Carol Lynn “Katie” Finch on August 5, 1972. They were blessed to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary in 2022. Paul was a devout Catholic throughout his life and always had a strong relationship with his faith. He enjoyed golfing, operating his business, and his hobby orchard of over thirty years.
Paul is survived by his loving wife Katie, his children S.P. Alexandra (Chris Vadala), Andre Joseph, and Paul Douglas Jr.; grandchildren Leon and Luke, Kendall, Marshall, Shayla, Alexis, Victoria, and Paul III; great-grandchildren Greyson, Dominic, and Noah; brother Gregory (Jean); sisters Catherine, and Ranea (Harold); and several nieces and nephews. He was greeted in heaven by his parents and his brother-in-law Ralph.
A visitation for Paul will take place on Thursday, June 1, 2023 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Langeland Family Funeral Home 205 E. Maple St. Climax, MI 49034. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 2, 2023 at St. Joseph Catholic Church 61 N. 23rd St. Battle Creek, MI 49015 at 12:00 pm, burial will follow at Fort Custer National Cemetery at 2:00 pm, and a luncheon will be held at the church after.
