PANGBURN, Mrs. Patricia D. Kalamazoo, MI Died Thursday evening June 14, 2007. Pat was born October 15, 1933 in Landis Township in Cumberland, New Jersey a daughter of Sue and Edgar Atteson Dillard. She had been a Kalamazoo area resident since 1963 and owned and operated Public Relation Services, Inc. for 22 years, retiring 6 months ago. Pat was a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and achieved a Master's Degree in Communications from Western Michigan University. She was a long time member of the Portage Rotary, the Professional and Executive Association of Kalamazoo PEAK and a founding member of Women in Communications WICI. She was a member and former Chair of the W. E. Upjohn Institute Volunteer Workforce Development Board for 19 years. In her many years of service, Pat wrote and edited projects for Bronson Hospital, the Kalamazoo County Road Commission, Constance Brown Hearing Centers, and the Kalamazoo Center for Independent Living KCIL. In 2000, Pat was awarded the Tony Griffin Golden Word Award. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Patricia Sue Scheeler in 1995; and a sister, Mabel Berger. She is survived by a son, Bradley Pangburn of Kalamazoo; a son-in-law and his fiance, Gordon ?Tad? Julie McEachern Scheeler both of Schoolcraft; 3 grandchildren, Sara Scheeler, and Lance and Mitchell McEachern; a brother, David Dillard of Pennsylvania; a brother-in-law, Carl Berger of Ocala, FL; a great-aunt, Bertha Dillard of Dothan, AL; and several nieces and nephews. A private gathering and burial will be held at a later date. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be directed to the Kalamazoo Autism Society or the Kalamazoo Animal Rescue.
