Nancy Ellen (Shay) Prough

Nancy Ellen Prough, age 76, of Delton passed away January 12, 2023. She was born July 22, 1946 in Kalamazoo to the late Nathan and Vera (Thompson) Shay.

Nancy attended school in Portage. She was a wonderful cook and an avid quilter and seamstress. She loved nature with a special affection towards birds and squirrels.

Nancy was preceded in death by a son, Jack Armstrong, and brother, Roger Shay.

She is survived by her brother Bruce Shay and sister Luanne Crawford, her daughter Rebecca Vorva and son Kenneth Armstrong. She has four grandchildren, Erin and Holly Baldwin, Jennifer and Conor Foster as well as four great grandchildren.

A celebration of life gathering will take place Sunday, July 23, 2023 from 2-5:00pm at the Delton Moose Lodge, 5420 Moose Lodge Dr, Delton, MI 49046. A time of sharing for family and friends will begin at 2:00pm, and all are encouraged to remain for refreshments and fellowship. Questions may be directed to Rebecca Vorva at 269-501-6379.
