Nancy Mary (Johncox) Frey

Nancy Mary Frey, of Schoolcraft, passed away December 20, 2022. She was born August 18, 1937 in Kalamazoo to the late Alfred Richard and Grace Ulynn (Williams) Johncox.

She was a graduate of Schoolcraft High School. She married Paul Frey on September 30, 1955 in Schoolcraft. She was teacher at Schoolcraft Elementary School for 25 years where she loved leading and witnessing the growth of her beloved students. Nancy was a very kind, caring, and selfless person who loved her walks around town, chatting with friends, and visiting with her family.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents and brothers: Randy and Richard Johncox.

She is survived by her loving husband, Paul Edward Frey; children, Kris Frey, Jeff (Julie) Frey, and Lisa (Mike) Jarrett; 12 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will take place Thursday, December 29, 2022 at 11:00am at Langeland Family Funeral Homes Burial & Cremation Services, 411 E Centre Ave, Portage, MI 49002, where family will greet friends from 10-11:00am. Interment will immediately follow in Schoolcraft Cemetery.
