Mildred Stiles

Mildred Stiles passed away on January 15, 2023, at Friendship Village. She was born on August 12, 1936, in Arkansas. She lived in Michigan for much of her life before returning to Arkansas for about 16 years. She returned to Michigan where she lived the remainder of her life.

Mildred was a devoted mother to her two daughters while also having a lifelong career at AC Delco. When she retired, she started a house cleaning business and enjoyed that for many years. After moving back to Michigan from Arkansas she spent time patient sitting at a local hospital.

Mildred enjoyed crocheting, working out at the local gym, and working on her word search puzzles.  Her most cherished memories are those spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Mildred is survived by her daughters Becky (Mark) Beckman and Debra (Rob) Linenger; three grandchildren Jason (Sonia) Beckman, Lauren (Joel) Herder, and Kristen (Nick) Tipton; four great-grandchildren, and her siblings Lorene, James, and Doris. She was predeceased by her parents and siblings Peggy, Melba, and Dean.

Per Mildred’s wishes, cremation has taken place and the family will hold a private graveside service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Elara Caring Hospice in Kalamazoo Michigan.
