SCHUYLER, Mary A. Comstock Passed away on December 6, 2006. Mary was born December 15, 1927 in Kalamazoo, MI, the daughter of Gerald and Bernice Riley Hoffmaster and was a lifelong area resident. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, feeding the wild birds, traveling to Ouray, CO and especially taking care of her grandchildren. Mary was preceded in death by her husband Carlton in 2002, by 5 brothers and sisters, Jack Hoffmaster, Jean Goolsby, Inez Klimp, Uldene Hoffmaster and Lynn Hoffmaster. Surviving are 2 sons and their spouses, Paul and Pam Schuyler of Richland and Steven and Sandi Schuyler of Galesburg; 4 grandchildren, twins Seth Schuyler of Kalamazoo and Stephanie Derrick Deyoung of Portage, Jason Schuyler of Chicago, IL and Maia Schuyler of Lansing; 2 great-grandchildren, Seth W. Schuyler, Jr. and Phoenix M. Deyoung; 2 sisters, Zela Wisdom of Kalamazoo and Ann Tibbs of Walhalla, MI; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law Reva and Larry Zeno; many nieces and nephews. A celebration of Mary?s life will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. with the Rev. Bryan Craddock of Calvary Bible Church officiating. Friends may meet the family beginning at 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions in Mary?s memory may be made to Kalamazoo Loaves and Fishes.
